Greek yogurt ranch dip is a simple, two-ingredient recipe that's easy to whip up for your next party. Greek yogurt is tangy and high in protein, making this flavorful dip a crowd-pleaser that's low in calories.

Ranch is a popular salad dressing and dip in the US - it's made with tangy herbs like dill, chives, and parsley, along with flavors like onion and garlic. Ranch dressing is usually made with buttermilk and a blend of other creamy ingredients like sour cream and mayonnaise.

Today, we're using Greek yogurt for that tangy flavor and creamy texture. Greek yogurt is an excellent substitute because it's not only low in calories, but high in protein.

That makes this Greek yogurt ranch dip a healthy, low calorie snack when paired with fresh veggies! Add this ranch dip to your next snack tray - it pairs perfectly with potato chips, pork rinds, celery sticks, and baby carrots.

    Ingredients and substitutions

    Ingredients on a counter top.

For this recipe, you'll need plain Greek yogurt. Make sure you're not buying vanilla - you're looking for plain, unflavored yogurt. Greek yogurt or regular yogurt will work in this recipe. I prefer Greek yogurt because of the thicker texture and higher protein.

Greek yogurt can be substituted with half sour cream and half mayonnaise for a traditional ranch dip.

Your ranch seasoning can be homemade or store bought - either one will work for this recipe.

How long does Greek yogurt dip last?

Your Greek yogurt dip should last for 4 to 5 days, or up to a week, stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

Keep in mind that this depends on the expiration date on your Greek yogurt - check the container your yogurt came in to see how long it will last.

If your yogurt dip is stored in the refrigerator for more than a day, it may separate slightly. Give it a quick stir just before serving.

What to serve with ranch dip

This ranch dip makes a great dip for accompanying snacks, or as a topping or condiment. Here are my favorite snacks to serve with ranch dip:

    • Celery sticks
    • Baby carrots or carrot sticks
    • Broccoli florets
    • Cauliflower florets
    • Pork rinds
    • Potato chips
    • Corn chips
    • Chicken nuggets
    • Chicken wings
    • Potato skins
    • French fries
