This Easy S’mores Dip is a crowd-pleasing, sweet dessert snack. Rich chocolate ganache is covered in mini marshmallows and toasted to perfection in the oven. Ready in ten minutes.
Believe me when I tell you this, you’re going to love this easy s’mores dip. This recipe takes only three ingredients to make, plus graham crackers for dipping.
This s’mores dip starts with a rich, chocolate ganache on the bottom. Then, top with mini marshmallows. Finally, you’ll place your entire dish in the oven and broil for a few minutes – just long enough to toast your marshmallows.

Making S’Mores Dessert Dip
This recipe is easy. Almost too easy. My waistline is in trouble now that I know this s’mores dip can be made in just ten minutes. Yes – ten minutes!
First, measure out your chocolate chips in a bowl. Then, in a separate bowl (I like to use my glass pyrex measuring cups) heat up your heavy cream in the microwave.
Pour the hot cream over your chocolate chips, and allow to melt for 2-3 minutes. Stir to combine, until all chocolate is melted. That’s it! You’ve just made a chocolate ganache.
Pour your ganache into a pie pan, or any 8-9 inch oven safe pan. You can use an oven safe skillet, an 8×8 baking pan – anything of similar size that you have on hand.
Then, evenly distribute your mini marshmallows on top. I prefer to use mini marshmallows because they’re easier to scoop than regular sized marshmallows.
Last, place your prepared dip in the oven and turn on the broiler. After 3-4 minutes your marshmallows should be perfectly toasted. Remove once your marshmallows have toasted to your liking.
Guess what? Your dip is ready! It’s really that easy.
I chose to use chocolate ganache as a base for this recipe for several reasons. First of all, it’s rich, creamy, and stays soft even at room temperature.
Many s’mores dips are made with plain chocolate chips that are melted and topped with marshmallows. As your dip cools, the chocolate hardens in the bottom of the pan.
So, you either have to eat fast, or continually reheat your dip. Reheating melted chocolate repeatedly will dry it out, or it will seize and become crumbly.
This is when the chocolate ganache comes in. Your dip will stay creamy and soft, and is equally as tasty at room temperature. So, feel free to leave your s’mores dip out at your next party. It will be delicious and edible for hours.
Make Ahead S’mores Dip
Even though this dip takes only a few minutes to prepare, you may wish to make your dip ahead of time. Prepare your dip as directed, but before broiling, cover and refrigerate. When you’re ready, broil your s’mores dip as directed.
This dip will keep in the refrigerator for up to a week. I unintentionally tested this theory when I forgot about the remainder of this dip in the refrigerator. The life of a food blogger – you have lots of leftovers.
I reheated my dip under the broiler for about 3-4 minutes, until the marshmallows started to bubble and expand. This dip was just as delicious as day one.
Easy S'mores Dip
- 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- graham crackers, cookies, or pretzels for dipping
- In a bowl, add chocolate chips. Set aside.
- In a microwave safe bowl, heat heavy cream in 30 second increments, until hot. Pour heavy cream over chocolate chips and allow to melt for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Pour chocolate into a 9 inch pie pan. Top with mini marshmallows.
- Place in the oven and turn on the broiler. Broil for 3-4 minutes, or until marshmallows are toasted to your liking. Remove from oven and enjoy.
