Ravioli casserole is a lasagna-style dinner made with frozen ravioli, ground beef, cheese, and your favorite marinara sauce. It's easy to assemble with only six ingredients, and the entire family will love it!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly grease a 9x13 (3-quart) casserole dish.
In a sauté pan over medium heat, crumble ground beef and cook until browned. Remove from heat. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and marinara sauce, stirring until incorporated.
Spread about 1 cup of your sauce into the bottom of your prepared casserole dish. Add half of your ravioli in a single layer. Top with half of your remaining sauce and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese. Repeat once more with another layer of remaining ravioli, remaining sauce, and remaining mozzarella cheese. Top with parmesan cheese.
Frozen ravioli: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until hot and bubbling in the center and cheese is melted.Refrigerated ravioli: Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 15-10 minutes, or until hot and bubbling in the center and cheese is melted.
Allow casserole to set for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
To prepare as a freezer meal - assemble as directed but before baking, cover with foil and freeze for up to 3 months. Transfer to the refrigerator to thaw overnight, then bake as directed. Or, bake from frozen and add an additional 10-15 minutes to bake time, or until pasta is cooked through in the center.
Leftovers will keep for 3-5 days in the refrigerator in a tightly sealed container.
