Lemonade Slushies
There's nothing more refreshing than a batch of lemonade slushies! These icy treats are perfect for the beach, sitting on the porch on a hot summer day, or for your next summer party.

granulated sugar

cup
water

fresh squeezed lemon juice
about 4 to 5 lemons

Instructions
To a blender add granulated sugar, water, and lemon juice. Top with 3 cups of ice, cover securely with a lid, and blend until smooth.
Add more ice as needed to achieve desired consistency. Blend until texture is thick and uniform.
Serve immediately.

Yield:
Recipe makes about 32 ounces of slushy and can be divided into four small, 8-ounces servings or two larger, 16-ounce servings.
Serve immediately:
Slushie is best served immediately and when frozen, will freeze into a solid block.
Limeade slushies:
Lemon can be substituted with lime to make lime slushies.
