Oven Roasted Cajun Sweet Potato Wedges

Oven Roasted Cajun Sweet Potato Wedges make an easy and flavorful side dish for your next weeknight meal. Sweet potatoes are drizzled in olive oil, sprinkled in spicy seasoning, then roasted in the oven.

  • 1 pound sweet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning


  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Rinse and peel sweet potatoes. Slice in half lengthwise, then slice each half into about 4 long wedges. 
  • In a bowl, add sweet potatoes and seasoning. Drizzle with olive oil, then toss potatoes to coat. 
  • Roast potatoes in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until potatoes are evenly browned. Flip halfway through with a spatula to ensure even browning.
  • Remove from oven and serve immediately.


To adjust the heat of your cajun seasoning:
1/2 tablespoon = mild
1 tablespoon = medium
1 and 1/2 tablespoons = hot
