Today I have a recipe for a classic candy that’s best known in Ohio – Peanut Butter Buckeyes. It’s called a buckeye because it resembles the nut from the state tree, the buckeye tree. This candy has a sweet peanut butter filling and a hard chocolate coating. The key trait is the peanut butter peeking through on the top. I like to jazz mine up a bit with crushed peanuts or chocolate sprinkles, but they are also delicious plain. If you are a fan of chocolate and peanut butter, this recipe is for you!
If you’re like me, you make your food from scratch whenever possible. The best part is that you know exactly what ingredients go into your food. You also get the satisfaction of creating something new. My Easy Homemade Peppermint Patties are the perfect winter treat, plus they’re fun to make from scratch. With sweet mint filling and a hard chocolate exterior, it’s hard to eat just one! But don’t worry, this batch makes plenty for sharing.
There’s nothing better than a 5 minute recipe. Today I want to share with you my version of Quick Candied Pecans. You’ll love this recipe because you only need a few ingredients to make this sweet and salty snack. Plus, it’s perfect to set out on the table at your next gathering, or box up and gift as a gift. They also make a great salad topping!
Today marks day seven of Week of Cookies. For my last cookie recipe, I had to share my all-time most requested recipe, my Butter Pecan Cookies. This cookie is soft and chewy, with bits of pecans, white chocolate, and butterscotch. Best of all, it’s a simple drop cookie recipe, meaning you drop the dough by the spoonful onto your baking sheet. No cookie cutters or decorating required.
